On the occasion of the 1st Lisbon Architecture Triennale in 2007, a request was made for the exhibition project “Vazios Urbanos – áreas metropolitanas” (Urban Voids – Metropolitan Areas). Given the diversity of content, in terms of format, dimension and media, a large low table was designed in MDF, with a guard for support and light fittings, designed crosswise to accommodate the displayed materials. The venue for the exhibition, the south wing of Cordoaria Nacional, with its striking longitudinality, suggested an equally longitudinal object, parallel to the exhibition nave, which made it possible not to assign any hierarchy to the contents on display. Alongside the main element, on the opposite side of the room, a continuous screen was deployed to project audiovisual content. The exchange between these 3 parallel elements – space, table and screen – created a simple balance to highlight the content on display.
