The house is located on a long narrow plot in a residential street, and is designed on the basis of its relationship with the road. A succession of three planes, which link it to the urban fabric, achieves the domestic organisation inside. A low wall delimits the end of the land, while the garage door sets it back from the road and announces the two-storey body of the house, which only appears at the top, even more removed, secluded from the town. The house is a play on volumes and planes in sequence to organise the living spaces within a very narrow footprint and following a classic typology: kitchen and lounges on the ground floor, three bedrooms on the top floor. The windows follow the type logic, located at different levels of the façade so as to vary the relationship with the outside of a very compact and confined volume. The lounge is a spatious, longitudinal room which enlarges the real dimensions of the space and acts at once as an entrance hall, circulation between service areas and an access to the top floor. The position of the staircase, perpendicular to the whole composition, introduces functional clarification into a continuous, seamless space.
